Job summary

QSAC is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to work at the Bronx Day School, serving children and young adults with autism. The OT will implement treatment plans and IEP goals to enhance participation in self-care, work, leisure, and play, while guiding Occupational Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities include direct service, adapting plans as students' needs evolve, and collaborating with school staff and families to ensure progress and best practices within a supportive, program-wide

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Current New York State OT license to practice.
• Experience working with autism highly preferred.
• One to three years' experience as an OT in a related setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services according to a written treatment plan/IEP.
• Modify treatment approaches as student needs change.
• Develop appropriate plans for students receiving support.
• Provide education and supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
