Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Legacy Pointe in Omaha, NE seeks a full-time Occupational Therapist to enhance residents' quality of life through individualized therapy programs. You will assess, plan, and implement interventions to improve daily living and independence, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct assessments of residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
• Therapy Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Intervention: Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to improve motor, cognitive and daily living skills.
• Rehabilitation & Recovery: Use therapies and adaptive equipment to enhance independence.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, plans, progress, and discharge summaries.
• Collaboration: Work with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and others.
• Education & Training: Educate residents, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation strategies.
• Program Development: Contribute to therapy program development and protocol refinement.
• Compliance: Follow facility policies and regulatory requirements.
