Job summary

BY YOUR SIDE-Autism Therapy Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and deliver therapy plans addressing sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, self-help, and social participation for clients in Illinois.

The OT will define goals, collect data, create treatment plans, and communicate with families, while maintaining licensure and adhering to HIPAA and professional guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• State Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or will train on site).
• Knowledge of discipline-specific assessment tools and procedures.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and deliver therapy independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Participate in an initial multidisciplinary evaluation process to help evaluate new clients.
• Evaluate, create, and maintain a comprehensive therapy plan for each client.
• Provide individual and group therapy focusing on fine/gross motor, sensory processing, feeding, and social skills.
• Educate caregivers on in-home strategies to promote generalization of skills.
• Collaborate with the team for therapy planning and implementation.
• Maintain Illinois license and NBCOT certification; complete continuing education.
• Adhere to AOTA and ILOTA guidelines and HIPAA compliance.
• Supervise COTAs/OTAs and interns when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
