Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to assess clients, design and implement therapy plans across physical, cognitive, and psychosocial domains. The role involves evaluating and treating diverse patient populations, documenting care, and advancing functional outcomes.

The therapist will educate patients and coordinate with care teams, continuing education, and mentoring as needed, with flexibility to meet department needs in a large rural health system.

Qualifications

• Must hold state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification preferred when applicable.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients and design occupational therapy treatments.
• Conduct evaluations and implement therapy programs for cognitive, physical, developmental, or psychosocial needs.
• Document evaluations and maintain therapeutic plans per guidelines.
• Educate clients to improve functional outcomes and quality of life.
• Collaborate with providers, case managers, and family members; supervise aides if needed.
