Job summary

The Therapy Place NJ is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. You will meet with multiple patients daily, discuss treatment needs and goals, and craft customized therapy plans to enhance mobility.

You will collaborate with doctors and the patient’s health team to arrange follow-up care and educate on lifestyle changes, providing a supportive presence throughout care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication abilities, compassion, and the capacity to manage multiple cases

Qualifications

Must hold the required state license for occupational therapy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good attention to detail.
The ability to stay positive and compassionate over a long period of time with patients.

Responsibilities

Meet with patients from many different backgrounds and compassionately discuss their health concerns and therapy needs.
Conduct evaluations to determine a starting point for each patient.
Create a therapy plan specific to each patient that will help them meet their mobility goals.
Work closely with other members of each patient’s care team to provide adequate follow-up care.
Maintain excellent records of patient therapy and progress.
