Job summary

The Arc of Union County is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and assess program participants using appropriate tools and techniques, and to design goals and treatment plans in line with agency guidelines.

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Therapy Services, you will prepare initial evaluations and progress reports, implement clinical interventions, and oversee tasks performed by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants to ensure high quality care.

Qualifications

• Must meet all academic, experiential and licensure requirements of the agency and governing agencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Summary: Under the direction of the Coordinator of Therapy Services or designate and in accord with agency and profession specific guidelines, this position is responsible for the evaluation and assessment of program participants/students utilizing appropriate assessment tools and techniques. The incumbent will prepare initial evaluation and progress reports as required as well as design and implement goals, treatment plans and clinical interventions based on the evaluation and assessment and in accord with individual needs. The Occupational Therapist will oversee and approve all profession specific tasks as conducted by the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Qualifications

• Must meet and maintain all academic, experiential and licensure requirements of the agency and professional, state or local governing agencies.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated competency in all areas indicated below.
