Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services consistent with licensure, evaluate patients, establish plan of care, implement treatment, educate patient and caregiver, and document care.
• Supervise therapy assistants, technicians, students, and volunteers as applicable.
• Communicate with other health care providers regarding patient care and treatment plans.
• Provide training and education for hospital staff as requested.
• Complete patient documentation to meet regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Attend continuing education programs and present findings to appropriate staff.
• Review and complete insurance authorization requirements for patients in a timely manner.
• Assist with performance improvement for rehab department and hospital.
