Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to perform evaluations and treatments in accordance with NYS guidelines and hospital policy. You will mentor COTAs and rehab aides, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to patient-centered rehabilitation in a fast-paced department.

Requirements include BS in Occupational Therapy, NY State OT License and Registration, and BLS; Masters is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Occupational Therapy is required.
• NY State OT License and Registration is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Masters degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including evaluation and treatment as outlined by NYS OT Practice Act and hospital policy.
• Provides routine clinical mentoring to COTA’s, Rehabilitation Aides/Senior Nursing Attendants, students and/or volunteers.
• Embraces the team concept of the department and the customer service approach to patient care.
