Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients to prevent, restore and optimize function across age groups. You will participate in development of individualized treatment plans and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

The role requires SC OT licensure and CPR certification, with responsibilities including direct patient care, documentation, and family education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an OT program approved by ACOTE or equivalent
• Current and active Occupational Therapist license by the State of South Carolina
• CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Provides direct occupational therapy patient care upon referral by a physician or APP
• Evaluates patients across age groups: infant to geriatric
• Develops and implements OT treatment plans and goals
• Administers OT treatments (upper extremity exercises, splint fabrication, sensory integration, daily living activities)
• Documents treatment data and progress notes
• Educates patients and families on home program and safety
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team and participates in team meetings
• Supervises students and supports department education
