Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to provide direct treatment and participate in an interdisciplinary team. Salary ranges from $85,280 to $104,000, with PRN/on-call duties and a sign-on bonus offered.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and a California OTA license; one year of clinical experience preferred, with new graduates welcomed. PTO and referral bonuses are listed among benefits.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.
