Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to support residents in a compassionate, family-like environment in Fremont, CA. A sign-on bonus isavailable and benefits include PTO and referral bonuses.

The OTA will work within an interdisciplinary team and provide prescribed treatments. Responsibilities include administering treatments, performing strength, ROM, and respiratory assessments, and assisting with discharge planning under the OT/PT plan of care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current California license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments, as appropriate, for discharge planning with OT/PT.
