Pate Rehabilitation, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our therapy team in implementing vocational and educational activities. You will design adaptive equipment, assist with community reintegration, and train patients and staff as part of a comprehensive neuro-rehabilitation program.

The role requires an OTA degree, current OTA certification, and at least 2 years of neuro rehab experience, including traumatic brain injury.

Formación

• OTA degree from an accredited program.
• Current OTA certification.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of neuro injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore task performance and self-sufficiency.
• Design and adapt equipment for working and living environments, including fabricating assistive devices.
• Conduct community reintegration activities to support OT needs during physical activity.
• Provide training to individuals and others involved in rehabilitation, and document results.
• Support treatment plans by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, coordination team, and attending physician.
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of vocational and educational activities designed to restore and reinforce individuals' task performance and promote their overall health and self-sufficiency
• Designing and adapting equipment for working and living environments, including fabricating assistive devices to improve participation in the program and/or community
• Conducting community reintegration activities to assist individuals with their occupational therapy needs during physical activity
• Providing training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
• Supporting individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
