Occupational Therapy Assistant
Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care Support COTA: The support occupational therapist assistant assists the occupational therapist in providing direct patient care services. The assistant provides treatment to patients to enhance their physical and/or cognitive performance while adjusting to their disabilities as defined in the assistant’s scope of practice. The assistant documents according to departmental standards.
The assistant is a positive contributor to disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams. They participate in professional development; supervision of students and volunteers as appropriate; and in orienting new employees.
Licensure: Possess a valid license to practice Occupational Therapy issued by the State of Ohio. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
