Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in Oregon seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to support an interdisciplinary team by implementing individualized treatment plans that enhance mobility, independence, and daily living activities.

You will assist with treatment plans, monitor progress, educate patients and caregivers, document outcomes, and help maintain a safe environment in settings such as acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient clinics.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current OTA/COTA license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
  • Recent experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, SNF, LTC, home health, or pediatric settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, coordination, balance, and independence with daily living activities.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate treatment outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and home programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Ensure a safe treatment environment and comply with infection prevention and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Assist with equipment management and treatment area preparation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA / COTA)

Assists the Occupational Therapist in providing therapeutic services to patients by implementing individualized treatment plans that improve functional abilities, mobility, independence, and activities of daily living (ADLs). Collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care across a variety of clinical settings.

Requirements
  • Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) license in the state of practice.
