Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy team in Port Arthur, Texas. The position supports an OT-led care plan and requires collaboration with clinicians, support staff, and patients to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Treats patients as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Records treatments in medical records.
• Participates in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
• Communicates with supervising therapist, rehab director and other team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
• Participates in facility in-service training programs.
• Records daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedure and state OT rules.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under supervision of OT.
• Document treatments in patient records.
• Attend and contribute to care conferences and rehab meetings.
• Coordinate with supervising staff on patient progress and plans.
• Participate in in-service training events.
• Maintain accurate daily treatment records and time logs.

• Communicates with supervising therapist, rehab director and other interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans
• Participates in facility in-service training programs
• Records daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedure and state occupational therapy rules

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current license in practicing state
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
• Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations
