Job summary

Hayward Hills Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to support residents in a professional and supportive environment. The OTA administers treatments, conducts assessments, and works within an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe discharges and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy, California OTA license, and 1 year of clinical experience preferred (new graduates welcomed).

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
