Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in California. The role includes administering treatment, performing assessments, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support safe discharge.

Requires an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and a CA OTA license; new graduates are welcome. A sign-on bonus is available, with PTO and referral bonuses offered as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Performs tests and measurements for strength, ROM, coordination, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per the plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments for specific needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments to support safe discharge with OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
