Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced or new graduate Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/OTA) for a contract position in Grass Valley, CA. The role is a day shift with responsibility for supports under the supervision of an OT and for implementing treatment plans focused on rehabilitation and progress.

Candidate must have an associate degree or certificate, hold/ be in the process of state licensure as OTA/COTA, and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree or certificate from an accredited school.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / COTA or active application in progress.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises per treatment plan.
• Assess learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Document patient progress and adjust plans as directed by OT.

Job description

A great SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Occupational. This is a contract position. Days schedule. This role assumes responsibility and accountability for incorporating the vision, values, mission and critical goals of the organization into their job performance.

Requirements include:

Must have earned either an Associates degree from an accredited school or a certificate from either a community, technical or vocational college. Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant/ COTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA. Current CPR certification.

Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist. Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers with regards to age, level of understanding and emotional status. Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of patient's progress. Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
