Job summary

Centra Healthcare Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join a SNF/LTC for a contract assignment. This contract position offers a day schedule and the chance to apply rehabilitative skills in a supportive team.

The role requires an Associate degree or OTA certificate, a current state license or active licensure process, and CPR certification. You will assist patients with rehab activities and collaborate with an OT and

Qualifications

• Must have an Associates degree or OTA certificate from an accredited program.
• Current state license as OTA/COTA or actively pursuing licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities per treatment plan developed with an OT.
• Ability to assess learning needs of patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with rehabilitation activities and exercises per plan.
• Assess learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Demonstrate clinical reasoning in treatment planning and progress monitoring.
• Document progress and maintain licensure compliance.

Job description

A great SNF / LTC is looking for an experienced or newly graduated Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA to join their growing team for a contract assignment!This is a contract position.Days schedule.

Requirements include

• Must have earned either an Associates degree from an accredited school or a certificate from either a community, technical or vocational college.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant/ COTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA.
• Current CPR certification.
• Assist patients with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed in collaboration with an occupational therapist.
• Assess the learning needs and capabilities of patients and caregivers with regards to age, level of understanding and emotional status.
• Demonstrate and articulate sound clinical reasoning in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of patient's progress.
• Effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
