Job summary

Mosaic Life Care St Joseph Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO, seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join Lifepoint Rehabilitation.

This role requires day shifts with flexible day, weekend, and holiday coverage from 8:00am to 4:30pm, supporting inpatient rehabilitation services. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and document patient care, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards while delivering

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with AOTA certification.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program with an associate degree.
• Current state OT license or equivalent certification.
• Inpatient experience preferred.
• CPR certification (when required).

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; instruct family/nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
• Document patient care per regulatory/licensing/payer/accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Adhere to Company's Code of Business Conduct and applicable state/federal laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do In This Role

Qualifications

• Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
• Graduate of an accredited American Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an associate's degree
• Current and valid state AOTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered
• Inpatient experience preferred
• CPR certification (when required)
