Job summary

Mosaic Life Care St Joseph Medical Center in St. Joseph, MO is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join Lifepoint Rehabilitation.

This role involves day shift with flexible coverage including weekends and holidays, in a hospital-based rehabilitation program. The successful candidate will hold an AOTA-certified OTA credential, possess an associate’s degree, be licensed to practice, and have CPR where required.

Qualifications

• Certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) is required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program with an associate’s degree.
• Current and valid state AOTA license or certificate of practice.
• Inpatient experience preferred.
• CPR certification (when required).

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress to supervisor and team; may instruct family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care per regulatory and payer requirements
• Maintain equipment and a clean, safe work area
• Uphold the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and applicable professional standards
• Other duties as assigned

More about our team: Mosaic Life Care provides Inpatient Rehabilitation/Post-Acute Care in St. Joseph, MO. Therapy plays a very important role in recovery from a life-altering injury or illness. We offer a hospital-based physical rehabilitation program for the treatment of those who have experienced a debilitating injury or illness. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

What you will do in this role:

Qualifications

• Inpatient experience preferred
• CPR certification (when required)
