Job summary

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is seeking a licensed California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our collaborative outpatient team in Norco. The role involves one-on-one pediatric therapy across clinic, ranch, and telehealth settings, supporting families and advancing children's goals.

You will work with Occupational, Physical, and Speech therapies to deliver evidence-based plans, document progress, and contribute to ongoing training and growth within a fun, inclusive

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid California COTA license.
  • Pediatric experience a plus.
  • Clear Livescan.
  • TB test.
  • CPR Healthcare Provider Card.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct occupational therapy to children per treatment plans.
  • Assist children in activities of daily living and functional goals.
  • Document patient performance and progress.
  • Prepare therapy materials and equipment for sessions.
  • Adapt materials and environments to meet patient needs.
  • Work in clinic, ranch, or telehealth settings as applicable.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and administrative staff.
  • Design and implement home exercise programs post-discharge.

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice in need of a licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.)

Essential Functions
  • Provide direct occupational therapy to children and follows documented treatment plans or protocols.
  • Help patient accomplish goals outlines in treatment plan to increase independence in activities of daily living skills by administering therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises, and sensory skills.
  • Document patient performance such as tallying data.
  • Prepare therapy materials and/or equipment for use in therapy activities.
  • Adapt or modify materials and equipment as determined by the needs of the patient.
  • May work in a variety of setting including clinic, ranch, or tele health services.
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Collaborate with team members of other disciplines as well as administrative staff.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation;?anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment with primary occupational therapist.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The compensation range varies based on experience, $62,400.00 - $72,800.00a year.

Requirements
  • Possess a valid California COTA License
