Job summary

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy Inc is seeking a licensed California COTA to join our collaborative outpatient team. We provide therapy across traditional clinic and our ranch setting, including hippotherapy as part of a comprehensive plan.

• Must possess a valid California COTA license.
• Pediatric experience is a plus.
• Clear Livescan and TB test are required prior to employment.
• CPR Healthcare Provider Card is required.
• Demonstrates strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy to children per treatment plans.
• Help children achieve goals to increase independence in daily living activities.
• Document patient performance and data.
• Prepare therapy materials and equipment; adapt as needed.
• Work across clinic, ranch, or telehealth settings as applicable.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and professional standards.

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary outpatient private practice in need of a licensed Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. We are a growing and fast-paced campus that offers Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services in a traditional clinical setting, as well as on our ranch, with the incorporation of the horse as part of a comprehensive evidence-based plan (hippotherapy.)

Essential Functions

• Provide direct occupational therapy to children and follows documented treatment plans or protocols.
• Help patient accomplish goals outlines in treatment plan to increase independence in activities of daily living skills by administering therapeutic activities, and therapeutic exercises, and sensory skills.
• Document patient performance such as tallying data.
• Prepare therapy materials and/or equipment for use in therapy activities.
• Adapt or modify materials and equipment as determined by the needs of the patient.
• May work in a variety of setting including clinic, ranch, or tele health services.
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
• Collaborate with team members of other disciplines as well as administrative staff.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation;?anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment with primary occupational therapist.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The compensation range varies based on experience, $66,650.00 - $79,040.00 year.

Clinicians also have the opportunity to earn a WEEKLY bonus!

Requirements
