Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Fairfield, Maine is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for outpatient neuro rehab. This full-time, Monday–Friday role runs 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with a focus on helping adults regain independence and resume meaningful routines.

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant training program.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application.
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the use of assistive devices per the OT plan.
• Assist OT in collecting outcomes measures and complex treatment procedures.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and activities as directed by the OT.
• Participate in program evaluation and development.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided.
• Adhere to AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Join our Rehab Without Walls team and help adults with neurological injuries build greater independence and return to the activities and routines that matter most.

• Provide 1:1 patient care in 60-minute treatment sessions — no double booking
• Deliver personalized, functional neurological rehabilitation under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
• Help patients improve daily living skills, functional abilities, and independence
• Collaborate with a supportive interdisciplinary team focused on meaningful, patient-centered outcomes
• Work in an innovative outpatient setting with access to advanced technology and equipment
• Enjoy a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays

• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
• Perform other duties as assigned
