Andwell Health Partners in Maine's largest independent nonprofit home and community healthcare organization seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled OT services in patients' homes under supervision. You will help patients regain function and independence, focusing on ADLs and IADLs through individualized plans of care.

Responsibilities include documenting visits, educating patients and caregivers, and coordinating with the care team, with travel across Maine

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree program for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Current COTA license in the State of Maine.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Current Maine driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proof of automobile insurance; CPR certification or ability to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational therapy treatments according to the established plan of care.
  • Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs (IADLs).
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, transfers, positioning, and use of assistive equipment.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Accurately document visits and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, caregivers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
