Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital’s OFIL Occupational Therapy department is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide prescribed therapeutic services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will work with clients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary conditions to restore function and prevent disability.

This per diem, day shift role requires an accredited COTA credential, current state licensure, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• Association Degree (COTA) from an accredited program.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed therapeutic services to restore and prevent disability for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders under supervision.
• Follow department and hospital policies and comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Within scope of practice and under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, provides prescribed therapeutic services in order to restore and prevent disability for clients, or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders. Performs responsibilities in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies, state and federal regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Association Degree (COTA) from an accredited program


• Current state Occupational Therapy certification


• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
