Job summary

Performance Pediatrics in Lafayette, LA is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with licensed OTs and other assistants to provide therapy and support for our pediatric patients, following established plans of care and helping patients use adaptive devices.

The ideal candidate has strong time management, excellent customer service, and knowledge of occupational therapy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current state licensing for occupational therapy assistant required.
• Experience in an occupational therapy setting preferred.
• Strong customer service and positive attitude.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management and ability to work in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow all plans of care for patients under your supervision.
• Assist patients with using adaptive equipment and modified exercises.
• Assist OT with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials daily.
• Attend care plan meetings, provide input on patient plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes.

Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will be working closely with Occupational Therapists as well as other Assistants to provide therapy and support for our patients. You will be following plans of care previously laid out, assisting your patients with using adaptive devices, and maintaining all therapy spaces and equipment. Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow all plans of care and therapy laid out for patients under your care
• Assist patients with using adaptive equipment, modified exercises, and learning basic life skills
• Assist Occupational Therapists with exercises, communication, and care coordination as needed
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials used on a daily basis
• Attend care plans for patients, provide input, and go over patient care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and changes

Qualifications
