Job summary

LEARN Academy is seeking a School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct therapy services and support students with special needs in a school setting. You will work under an licensed OT, collaborating with teachers, families, and related services to implement individualized interventions.

You will help integrate OT strategies into curricula and adapt environments to boost participation and independence, while contributing to IEP progress and maintaining precise

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Maintain AZ COTA license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct therapy services to students to improve functional abilities (fine motor, sensory processing, activities of daily living).
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate occupational therapy strategies into the educational curriculum.
• Assisting in adapting learning environments and materials to enhance student participation and independence.
• Contributing to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending interventions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices in school-based OT.
