Job summary

SSM Health DePaul Hospital in Missouri seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time weekend option. The position offers four 8-hour weekend shifts with a commitment to work 48 of 52 weekends per year.

You will evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, and educate patients and families. The department emphasizes education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing practice with a focus on return to community activities.

Qualifications

• Valid state license or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans as directed by physicians.
• Oversees delegation and direction of all therapy services for assigned patients.
• Ensures functional treatment programs support safe return to community activities.
• Educates patients, families, students, coworkers and self about ongoing therapy.

Location: DePaul Hospital

Type of Employment: Full-Time Weekend Option

Schedule:Four 8-hour shifts per weekend. Commitment to work 48 out of 52 weekends/year.

The DePaul Ministry of SSM Health is accredited by The Joint Commission as a Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement and a Comprehensive Center of Excellence for Stroke. We are a Level II trauma center and a Level I STEMI center serving the north and northwest St Louis County area in Missouri and our neighbors to the east in Illinois. Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid state licenseor eligibility for state license as a Occupational Therapist
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment

Preferred:

• Acute or inpatient experience
