Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation DePaul Hospital in Missouri is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a full-time weekend-option role. You will evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, and coordinate care with the therapy team to support functional recovery.

Requires a valid OT license and BLS, with inpatient/acute experience preferred. Generous benefits, 401(k) match, and a weekend shift differential of $6.00/hour enhance this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Valid state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred acute inpatient experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient and design of program delivery.

Occupational Therapist Full Time Weekend Option
The DePaul Ministry of SSM Health is accredited by The Joint Commission as a Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement and a Comprehensive Center of Excellence for Stroke. We are a Level II trauma center and a Level I STEMI center serving the north and northwest St Louis County area in Missouri and our neighbors to the east in Illinois. Our diverse and progressive therapy department participates in research and program advancement throughout the 450 bed hospital.
Four 8-hour shifts per weekend. Commitment to work 48 out of 52 weekends/year.

Friday through Monday
Saturday through Tuesday
Thursday through Sunday
Shift differential: $6.00/hr
