Qualifications

  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program with a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Maintains current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Maintains active Colorado Occupational Therapy license.
  • Maintains current BLS certification for Health Care Providers.
  • 2 years experience preferred in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans with physicians and care team.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing, independence, and quality of life.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed with thorough documentation.
  • Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement.

Education

Bachelor's/Master's/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (AOTA accredited program)
Colorado OT license

Occupational Therapists play a vital role in helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. Working closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team, you will evaluate needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands‑on treatment that supports recovery through every stage of healing. Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
  • Deliver skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensure thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
  • Lead by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited school with a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Maintains current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Maintains active Occupational Therapy Certification in the State of Colorado.
  • Maintains current certification in BLS for Health Care Providers (American Heart Association guidelines).
  • Successful completion of a student clinical rotation or work experience in at least one of the following settings: acute care hospital, long‑term acute care facility, skilled nursing facility, and/or acute rehabilitation setting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
