Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center in South Carolina is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life after illness or injury. You will design individualized plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team and provide hands-on, evidence-based therapy across recovery stages.

You will evaluate functional abilities, deliver compassionate care, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to foster engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• OTR (Occupational Therapist Registered) or OT certification required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, and developing individualized therapy plans with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough documentation of outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding and engagement during recovery.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure safe transitions of care and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by example and mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values.

Your role will include:

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.

• Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
