Zuckerberg San Francisco General is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services across various settings, including acute care and outpatient facilities.

Under general supervision, the Occupational Therapist assesses, plans, and implements appropriate Occupational Therapy habilitative and rehabilitative treatment interventions for clients in acute‑care and long‑term hospitals, senior programs, mental health settings, clinical outpatient centers, home health, public school settings, and other similar institutions.
The 2548 may perform other duties as assigned or required.
License: Possession of a valid Occupational Therapy License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT).

Basic Life Support for Professional Rescuer (BLS) Certificate – possession of a valid BLS Certificate issued by the American Heart Association is required for all positions.
Occupational Therapists provide Inpatient Acute Care Rehabilitation, SNF Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Rehabilitation Services which include Hand Therapy Services. Experience with poly‑trauma, neurologic impairment, orthopedic injury, and general medicine patients is encouraged. Clinical mentorship is available.
Occupational Therapists who have recent experience within the last year of working with people having a mental health diagnosis, or who have successfully completed a 3‑month internship in mental health, are encouraged to apply. OTs provide group and individual psycho‑social interventions for adults in inpatient locked psychiatric acute and sub‑acute units, jail psychiatric unit, and psychiatric emergency service. Experience leading evidence‑based practice groups and familiarity with sensory modulation interventions are welcomed.
Occupational Therapists who are interested in working with a dynamic, diverse, and team‑oriented group of professionals in this long‑term care facility should apply. Experience with neurological impairments such as traumatic and acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, polytrauma, and hand therapy will be an asset. Both experienced therapists and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Occupational Therapists with two or more years of clinical experience who wish to practice occupational therapy with a diverse patient population and on a collaborative care team should apply. Previous home health experience is not required but is desirable.
OTs provide services to clients from birth to 21 years eligible through the Medical Therapy Program. Conditions include neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders such as cerebral palsy, juvenile arthritis, congenital deformities, muscular dystrophy, amputation, arthrogryposis, and other conditions resulting from pediatric stroke, cancer, traumatic injuries, infectious diseases, or progressive disorders. Services are primarily provided in outpatient clinic settings but may also be provided in public school settings or home/community to address equipment needs and caregiver training. Telehealth may be used when appropriate.
