Job summary

Lowell Community Charter Public School in Lowell, MA is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to join our collaborative Student Support Services team. The OT will support K1-8 students with diverse disabilities, administer standardized assessments, and contribute to IEP development.

Qualifications

• Licensed OT with MA licensure in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience with school-based OT services and IEPs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and therapists.
• Knowledge of Medicaid billing and RTI services.

Responsibilities

Registered Occupational Therapist

• Caseload will involve a mixture of student from K1-8th grade with a range of disabilities.
• Working alongside our licensed clinicians, special education teachers, speech and language pathologists and a physical therapist as part of a collaborative team
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for administering and reporting on standardized testing, writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and completing progress notes.
• RTI services to our K1 and K classrooms
• Medicaid Billing
• The OT would have access to a designated space which has updated equipment and resources. These tools would be managed by the OT.

This position reports to the Director of Student Support Services.
