Job summary

Lowell Community Charter Public School is seeking an experienced Registered Occupational Therapist to support students from K1 through 8th grade. The OT will work with a collaborative team of licensed clinicians, educators, speech-language pathologists and a physical therapist.

The role includes administering standardized assessments, writing and implementing IEPs, and documenting progress notes; participating in RTI services; and handling Medicaid billing.

Qualifications

• MA State Teachers license is required.
• Experience supporting K-8 students with diverse disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to administer and report standardized testing and develop IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Caseload includes students from K1-8 with a range of disabilities.
• Collaborate with licensed clinicians, special education teachers, SLPs and a physical therapist as part of a team.
• Administer and report on standardized testing, write and implement IEPs, and complete progress notes.
• Provide RTI services to K1 and K classrooms.
• Medicaid Billing.
• OT would have access to a dedicated space with updated equipment and resources.

Registered Occupational Therapist

• Caseload will involve a mixture of student from K1-8th grade with a range of disabilities.
• Working alongside our licensed clinicians, special education teachers, speech and language pathologists and a physical therapist as part of a collaborative team
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for administering and reporting on standardized testing, writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and completing progress notes.
• RTI services to our K1 and K classrooms
• Medicaid Billing
• The OT would have access to a designated space which has updated equipment and resources. These tools would be managed by the OT.

This position reports to the Director of Student Support Services.
