Job summary

Sentara Health in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a licensed Outpatient Occupational Therapist for a full-time, day shift position with excellent benefits. You will contribute to patient care across outpatient settings within a large, nonprofit health system.

You will assess and treat adults and pediatrics to improve functional mobility, pain relief, and independence, while educating patients and caregivers and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) is required.
• Active Occupational Therapy licensure in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve function.
• Help patients regain daily living skills and independence.
• Educate clients and caregivers; supervise and coordinate care with the care team.

As a Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury, and help build or restore vocational/ daily living skills as well as general independence.

Also, Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Level Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active Occupational Therapy Licensure
• Basic Life Safety (BLS)
