Job summary

Regency Pacific Management's Kauai Care Center in Waimea on the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and provide therapy services, coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident outcomes.

You will document treatments, develop goals, supervise assistants, and integrate prosthetic/orthotic devices while maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines, delivering safe and timely patient care in a supportive

• Possess a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possess, prior to onboarding, and maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in assigned state.

Responsibilities

• Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants by providing periodic training and guidance to promulgate the educational needs of the technicians and to enhance patient care.
• Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives, and prepare such records and reports as may be required.
• Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and a full range of therapy services in support of patient referrals. Provide safe and timely patient care.
• Develop realistic and documented treatment goals that comply with and satisfy the intent of the referring medical staff. Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on an evaluation of the patient.
• Administer manual exercises to improve and maintain function. Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities, and in use of assistive and supportive devices.
• Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems. Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust the patient’s prosthetic and orthotic devices and coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in a treatment program, and integrate occupational therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care.

The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, organizes and administers occupational therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations and guidelines to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is rendered at all times. The occupational therapist maintains informative, accurate and timely documentation and records management and works collaboratively with all disciplines, adheres to the professional standards of practice guidelines and code of ethics as set forth by the state board of occupational therapy.

You Will
