Job summary

Sandstone of Tucson is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team in a skilled nursing setting. This full-time or PRN position offers a resident-centered environment focused on improving independence and quality of life for residents.

The OT will evaluate residents, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with nurses, physicians and therapy staff. NBCOT certification and an active AZ license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Active Arizona OT license is required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide interventions to improve daily living, mobility and independence.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians and therapy team members.
• Document evaluations, progress notes and discharge plans according to regulations.

Position Details:

• Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities available
• Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care setting

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and therapy team members
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans in accordance with regulationsEducate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Occupational Therapists (NBCOT)
• Active Arizona Occupational Therapist license
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to high-quality, resident-centered care
