Job summary

Brighten Life Home Health in Tooele is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. The role is PRN or Part Time with pay of $65-$75 per visit and $0.56 mileage reimbursement.

The OT provides quality therapy to patients and contract facilities, including assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and family communication. You will report to the Director of Rehabilitation and work in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and state licensure.
• Current AOTA certification required.
• Professional competency as a general practitioner of Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality Occupational Therapy services to patients and facilities.
• Assess, plan, implement and document therapy and education.
• Communicate with patients, families and nursing for optimal goals.
• Maintain timely documentation according to policy.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing quality Occupational Therapy services to patients and contract facilities to include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, provision of education, documentation, and patient/family communication for the purpose of assisting the patients achieve optimal functional level and quality of life in an interdisciplinary rehabilitation setting. The Occupational Therapist reports directly to the Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Timely response to requests for service.
• Participate in screening individuals in compliance with Brighton policy and procedure.
• Ensure plan of treatment is initiated by attending physician, and is developed in consultation with nursing.
• Evaluate patients in order to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and development of appropriate goals.
• Maintain documentation according to Brighton's policy and procedure for content and timeliness.
• Respond pro-actively to the needs of the assigned facilities/entities.

Qualifications

• Must have clinical background
• Must demonstrate professional competency as a general practitioner of Occupational Therapy
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Appropriate certification and state licenser in Occupational Therapy
• Current AOTA certification required
