Santa Maria Post Acute in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join the in-house rehab team.

Flexible schedule of 10–15 hours per week for evaluations and treatment, with responsibilities including planning care, delivering therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and families.

The role emphasizes patient education on injury prevention, activity modification, and home exercise programs to restore function and mobility.

Santa Maria Post Acute in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join the in-house rehab team! Looking 10-15 hours/week consistently for evals and treament.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention

• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.

• Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.

• Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.

• Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.

• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.

• Advising patients on exercise techniques.

• Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.

• Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.

• Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

• Documenting patient care history.

• Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.
