Job summary

Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, MA is hiring per diem Occupational Therapists to assess residents, develop care plans and provide direct treatment within a general rehab caseload.

We offer hourly pay up to $50 with weekly pay; new graduates are welcome. Candidates must hold a Bachelor or Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and maintain state licensure and CEU requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• CEU’s per state licensure requirements.
• Appropriate licensing requirements by individual states must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients/residents
• Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• May perform additional administrative duties such as overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc.
• Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment venue includes individual, supervised and group.
• Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program.
• Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers.
• Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor.
• Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
• Communicates effectively with patients, residents, team members, customers and supervisor.
• Provides appropriate consultation to the facility.

Berkshire Rehab is a 57-bed, award-winning, all-male skilled nursing facility with a large veterans population. Hourly rate up to $50 an hour with weekly pay.

As an Occupational Therapist, you provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment and consultation to a general rehab caseload while also participating in the clinical team process.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.
