Job summary

Alhambra Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy focused on ADLs, mobility, strength, and safety. The role includes documenting progress and participating in discharge planning within a geriatric care setting.

The OT must hold a Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and a Florida license, with knowledge of Medicare regulations and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current OT license in good standing in Florida.
• Knowledge of geriatric rehabilitation and Medicare regulations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents and develops individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provides therapy focused on ADLs, functional mobility, strength, coordination, cognition, and safety.
• Monitors resident progress and adjusts treatment plans as needed.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicare and facility guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning.
• Supervise COTAs as applicable.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
