Essential Functions

• Properly evaluates patients and plans therapy programs consistent with standard procedures.
• Applies proper diagnostic and prognostic tests to determine functional ability level of development.
• Treats patients using a prescribed treatment plan and treatment procedures consistent with doctor’s orders and policy and procedure.
• Correctly determines need for and constructs supportive, protective and/or adaptive devices and equipment.
• Provides individuals with available sources to obtain therapeutic equipment.
• Cares for patients according to growth and development: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
• Assists in developing new programs of patient treatment.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Must be eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• MN License.
