Job summary

PruittHealth Corporation is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its Therapy Services team in a post-acute care setting. The OT will evaluate, treat, and support residents, following individualized care plans and maintaining timely documentation.

Requirements include a current OT license in the state of practice, ACOTE-accredited education, and NBCOT eligibility or certification. Florida-specific screening information is noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Valid professional OT license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited OT program with eligibility to take NBCOT exams.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations, assessments, and treatments per individualized OT care plan.
• Complete documentation and medical records timely and accurately.
• Follow established policies and procedures related to scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care with initiative and judgment.
• Complete orientations, in-services, and trainings successfully and on time.
• Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with policy and the individualized occupational therapy care plan


• Complete all documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner


• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice


• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care showing initiative and sound judgment


• Complete all required orientations, in-services, and trainings successfully and in a timely manner


• Performs other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional OT license in the state of practice


• Graduate of ACOTE accredited school and eligible to take or has passed the NBCOT exams (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy). If foreign-trained, must meet the same qualifications as U.S. educational program requirements
