Qualifications

• Proficiency in orthotic fabrication preferred.

Since 2012, Dr. Yang has provided comprehensive musculoskeletal care with a focus on hand and upper extremity conditions. Operating as a solo practice since 2020, the clinic emphasizes individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Role Description

The Occupational Therapist will provide direct patient care focused on hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, supporting individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing therapeutic interventions, fabricating or adjusting splints, and documenting progress in accordance with clinical standards. The role also involves collaborating closely with Dr. Yang and other clinical staff, educating patients and families on home exercise programs, and contributing to continuous improvement of care protocols. This is a part-time to full-time, on-site role located in Portland, OR.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with experience in hand and upper extremity therapy preferred.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine relevant to musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Oregon.
• Experience in an outpatient clinic or orthopedic/hand therapy setting is highly beneficial.
• Strong documentation, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and inclusive, patient-centered care.
• Proficiency in orthotic fabrication preferred.
