Job summary

Primrose Pediatric Therapy, LLC is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our outpatient pediatric team. The therapist will evaluate and treat children with sensory, fine motor, and ADL challenges, partnering with families to support meaningful participation across home, school, and clinic settings.

You will collaborate with speech and physical therapists, educators, and physicians, maintain documentation, and stay current with evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Tennessee Occupational Therapy License or eligibility for licensure.
  • Current NBCOT certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently while managing a caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions using evidence-based practices.
  • Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and ADL goals.
  • Educate and collaborate with families regarding progress and home programs.
  • Complete timely documentation: treatment notes, progress reports, and plans of care.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, insurance requirements, and clinic policies.
  • Collaborate with other professionals (SLP, PT, physicians, educators).
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive clinic culture.

Join Our Team at Primrose Pediatric Therapy, LLC

Primrose Pediatric Therapy, LLC is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and energetic Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our growing outpatient pediatric therapy team. We are a therapist-owned private practice dedicated to helping children develop the skills needed to succeed in everyday life through individualized, evidence-based care.

Our clinic serves children from birth through adolescence with a wide range of developmental, neurological, sensory, orthopedic, and behavioral needs. We value collaboration, creativity, family involvement, and a child-centered approach to therapy.

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and provide treatment to pediatric clients experiencing challenges with fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-regulation, executive functioning, ADLs, social participation, motor planning, feeding, and developmental milestones. The therapist will work closely with families and other therapy disciplines to promote functional independence and participation across environments.

Essential Job Duties
  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals based on client needs.
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Address deficits related to:
    • Fine motor and visual motor skills
    • Sensory processing and self-regulation
    • Executive functioning skills
    • Motor planning and coordination
    • Activities of daily living (ADLs)
    • Feeding and oral motor skills
    • Social participation and play skills
    • Strength, postural control, and body awareness
  • Educate and collaborate with parents/caregivers regarding treatment progress and home programs.
  • Complete timely documentation, including daily treatment notes, progress reports, re-evaluations, and plan of care updates.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, insurance requirements, and clinic policies.
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive clinic culture.
Qualifications
Required
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Tennessee Occupational Therapy License or eligibility for licensure.
  • Current NBCOT certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a caseload effectively.
Preferred
  • Pediatric experience in outpatient, school-based, or early intervention settings.
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, developmental delays, and neurological diagnoses.
  • Experience with feeding therapy and sensory-based interventions.
  • Knowledge of standardized pediatric assessments.
