In this role, you will provide specialized occupational therapy services to pediatrics clients in a private clinic. Responsibilities
Assess patients’ functional abilities and develop personalized care plans to promote, emotional regulation, executive function, feeding, sensory processing, fine motor, independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to patients’ needs, including working with individuals with autism, pediatrics, and those with disabilities.
Assist patients with mobility, self-care, and adaptive techniques to enhance their daily functioning.
Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and medical records using appropriate medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
Support interdisciplinary teams by co-treating, sharing insights on patient care strategies and contributing to comprehensive care plans with speech therapy and behavioral health.
Qualifications
Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist
Experience working in pediatrics, outpatient clinics, or school environments is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy.
Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children with autism, sensory disorders, feeding, emotional requlations, and individuals with disabilities.
Prior experience in pediatric settings is advantageous.
Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care across various healthcare environments.
