Legend Healthcare and Rehabilitation - Paris in Paris, TX is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our in-house therapy team. You will conduct screenings, develop care plans, and deliver rehabilitative interventions for patients with physical disorders and wound care needs.

This role requires an OT license; new grads are welcome. You will work within a supportive leadership structure, influence facility-level decisions, and participate in a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• OT license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients per plan.
• Role involves standing/walking and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.


• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.


• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.


• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.


• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.


• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapist license is required.
