Job summary

Wendell Foster is seeking a compassionate and energetic Occupational Therapist to join our Outpatient Services team to help children and adults with disabilities build independence and meaningful life skills.

You will evaluate clients, develop individual plans, collaborate with a interdisciplinary team, and educate families to support successful outcomes while using adaptive equipment and assistive technology. An Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Kentucky Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of OT principles, treatment techniques, and adaptive equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn specialized software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with individuals, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Passion for serving individuals with disabilities in a person-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Provide occupational therapy services that promote independence in daily living, work, leisure, and community participation
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, person-centered care
• Educate and train families, caregivers, and staff to support successful outcomes
• Design, fabricate, and recommend adaptive equipment and assistive technology
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete billing requirements, and meet productivity standards
• Provide clinical supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and students, as assigned
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and departmental programs
• Serve as a liaison with families, community partners, and other service providers to promote occupational therapy services
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of Wendell Foster's mission
