Job summary

Feather River Care Center in California is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate, plan, and administer OT treatments as prescribed by a physician. You will help patients reach their maximum functioning and adapt to life with disability after injury or illness.

The ideal candidate holds a CA OT license (or eligible), a baccalaureate degree in OT or ACOTE-accredited MS certificate, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a Baccalaureate Degree in Occupational Therapy or an ACOTE-accredited MS Certificate.
• Must hold a California Occupational Therapy License (current or eligible).
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan occupational therapy treatment for patients.
• Direct and administer OT modalities as prescribed by physicians to restore function.
• Assist patients to reach maximum functioning and adapt to disability after injury or illness.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The Occupational Therapist administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability, assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

Work area is well lighted and ventilated. Contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstances. Exposed to noise, chemicals, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials. Wears personal protective equipment as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, or controls; each with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand for extended periods, occasionally required to sit, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
